It's the most unbiased and objective brand you can trust, man listen up.  Cam'ron drops his project Purple Haze 2.  I'm sure Dip-Set fans and fans of what he has put out in the past were anticipating this.  I was too.  Especially with Heatmarkerz handling the production.

It's only right Cam'ron starts Purple Haze 2 with "Toast to Me", a signature, sped up sample, from the Heatmakerz.  It set's the mood.  Picture me amped. He follows that up with a banger, "Medellin".  "Was gonna take my ex back until I seen her with Safaree"  Shots fired.  Okay Cam.  The smooth talking, street smart emcee is off to a good start.

Then a lot of inconsistent things started to happen.  "Losin' Weight 3"?  Not for me.  "K.O.P."  nice beat, uninspired approach to the lyrics.  I Don't Know featuring Wale.  Nothing special.  There was a transition from "This is My City" to "Keep Rising" to the Top featuring Max B that was great.  Powered by the, classic sample, Mary Jane Girls, "All Night Long".  "Believe in Flee" had a nice, triumphant, and soulful hook ringing out throughout the beat that made it work well.




I gotta tell you.  I was disappointed.  I couldn't grade it more than aiiight.  It went from promising, to generic and uninspired bars coupled with luke-warm beats that were not fit for a legend in the game like Cam'ron.  He should not be chasing a young sound like he did on "Killa Bounce".  Stop.

I give this a 2.5 BARS rating. 65.63%.  It's aiiight.
